Onward and Upward

This was Abby's second Easter. Last Easter she slept peacefully in her carrier while the family ate a lovely meal at Nicola's. Nothing wrong with that. But this year was so much better. We went to an Easter egg hunt on Saturday morning with Gimi and Grandpa. We, of course, were late, so Abby only got two eggs. Alas.




You'll note the lovely black bruise on her left cheek. Abby has apparently taken up the tradition of her friend, Millie, and has decided that every Easter she needs some sort of visible injury. This year it happened the Wednesday before. Abby took a nosedive and hit her face on the bed frame in Mom's room.



And on to Easter Sunday. Church followed by a delicious meal at Gimi's. Abby got her first Easter basket.



She was super excited because she thought she got a Lexus.



Realizing she wasn't getting a car...




... she settled for an egg filled with Goldfish.



Gimi made her a sweet new baby, and Abby promptly baptized her with snacks.



Not as quiet as last year, and no wait staff to bring us our every desire at lunch, but much improved, if you ask Mom.
